Nestled at the foothills of Table Mountain, Panorama Guest House has been providing a cosy home-style getaway for everyone from families on holiday to travelling business people for over 20 years. Open the garden gate and connect to our forest sanctuary; thrive as  you synchronize your natural rhythm to the elements surrounding some of the most pristine indigenous treasures of South Africa.
 

​We offer a unique guesthouse sanctuary experience, attune to the majestic views from our rooms, lounge and poolside deck, boasting unobstructed 180° views, spanning across the Hottentots mountain range to the distant blue seas surrounding Cape Point. On request, we optionally offer a high quality continental, or a Full English breakfast, served from 07:00 to 10:00. Please note that the Panorama Guest House property is the highest property in Newlands, and there is a short, but steep incline to reach our front door via the main driveway/entrance.  All our rooms are on the second level of the house and only accessible via stairs. Due to our unique property design and architecture, we do not offer “inside parking”. We do however offer all guests dedicated usage of our designated, very safe, off-street parking. These parking are conveniently situated directly outside the main entrance gate. This parking is patrolled frequently by our neighbourhood security company and is further covered by 24-hour CCTV surveillance. We have not experienced any issues or concerns with this parking for at least 10 years or more! Once you’ve been seen to your room and settled in, our friendly staff will inform you of the in-house activity calendar for the week, with concierge holistic wellness experiences and guided hikes being a few of the recently added services. Some of our other unique In-house attractions include; arts, crafts, curios, collectables and crystals -a collection like none-other! If you have a moment during your stay, feel free to ask one of our team members to see our mystical museum-like experience and tour, for now still tucked away in safe-keeping. Our passionate, friendly and sector trained in-house staff will narrate to you the heritage of the land. The legacy of the ancestors, and their epic life-story of empowering communities in central Africa, a legendary vision of a father’s extraordinary journey through life, leaving behind an incomparable space of co-creation for family, friends, and community. With direct access to the pristine South African National Parks, we complete the Exclusive Panorama view, offering “360 degrees” of beauty. A gentle stroll into the Afro Temperate Newlands Forest, ideal to calibrate your optimum serenity. Head due South West and you are in Kirstenbosch Gardens, undoubtedly one of South Africa’s best preserved botanical gardens. Our in-house team has a wealth of information and maps from South African Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), allowing you to be more conscientious about the pristine fynbos and related flora in the region. If you are feeling more adventurous, traverse across the well-marked trails which include; Newlands Ravine, Contour Path, Skeleton’s George, amongst a labyrinth of many hiking trails, heading due higher altitude, over and beyond, into the 7th Natural Wonder of nature, Table Mountain National Park. We are aligned to a respectable reciprocity with nature, aligning strictly to the responsible tourism guidelines. If you are looking to venture around Cape Town, we are situated 2.2km from the world famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, 12 km from the V&A Waterfront and the Robben Island Ferry, 14 km from the Table Mountain Cableway as well as various sandy beaches. If arriving via aeroplane, we are a mere 19 km from the Cape Town International Airport. Lastly, should you wish to eat out, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, within minutes from the highly central suburb of Newlands - there are hundreds of world-class restaurants to pick your fancy from. From the comfort of Panorama Guest House, Cape Town and all its glorious attractions are just a short drive away!
